About Anna | Juniper Sun

With hands guided by intuition and heart, Anna creates spaces for healing through intentional touch and handcrafted adornment. As a heart-led massage therapist, she offers bodywork that is as nurturing as it is therapeutic. Her sessions are an invitation to come home to yourself—blending presence, deep listening, and healing touch to support restoration of body, mind, and spirit.

As the artist behind Juniper Sun, Anna also creates earthy, one-of-a-kind jewelry that channels the essence of the natural world. Designed to adorn the body with meaning and support inner balance, each piece serves as a talisman of connection—rooted in earth, spirit, and story.

Whether through muscle or stone, Anna’s work honors the body as a sacred vessel—deserving of beauty, care, and restoration.

I grew up on my family’s homestead in Michigan, where my love for nature began. In 2018, I moved to Aspen, Colorado, and started Juniper Sun from a deep love of working with my hands and a passion for nature-derived wellness & beauty. I later found myself in Carbondale, where I spent three enriching years honing my craft, immersing in yoga and meditation, working at a healing sanctuary, and studying the body, energy & somatics. I obtained my yoga certification in Nosara, Costa Rica and my massage license in Eagle, Colorado. My hobbies included hiking, biking, camping, and attending ecstatic dance— where I would meet my husband. After almost a decade in the West, I moved back to my Michigan roots with my husband, Michael, our cat, Fern, and our two bunnies, Suni & Selah. We feel inspired by the “Great Waters” here and the opportunity to settle down, and tend a home & garden right near my family’s multigenerational land where my story began.

What sets Anna apart is her empathy. She has an incredible sense of understanding when it comes to what her clients are experiencing—both physically and emotionally. It’s not just a skill, but more like a superpower. You can feel her attention is completely present, her touch compassionate, and yet she maintains an entirely professional demeanor. Throughout the session, I felt deeply cared for, and for the first time in a long time, I was able to completely relax and let go.
